  • Personal Interests: Spending time with family and friends, reading, baking, and traveling.
  • Why St. Cloud? The people that make up the residency program are all very supportive and encouraging, from faculty to residents, to clinic and hospital staff. I love the focus on rural medicine and the opportunities for global health. St. Cloud is a great city to live in, big enough to have a multitude of activities and small enough to feel comfortable and like home. I want practice in the Midwest and am happy to be back home in Minnesota.

John Tronnes, MD

  • Medical School: University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences
  • Medical Interests: Family Medicine, including Rural Medicine and Obstetrics
  • Personal Interests: Playing and watching sports, reading, hiking, singing and listening to music, travel, cooking, fishing and spending time with my wife and pets.
  • Why St. Cloud? St. Cloud is a wonderful place to learn family medicine. It is a referral center for much of central and northern Minnesota, so the hospital is large enough to see a wide variety of different pathologies. Yet also, the city is small enough to where you get to feel how a family medicine doctor can make a large impact on a community. The faculty and residents are great to work with and the program has several community outreach programs.

Sujitha Yadlapati, MBBS

  • Medical School: Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore University
  • Medical Interests: Full-spectrum Family Medicine, Women's Health, Emergency Medicine, International Medicine
  • Personal Interests: Traveling, exploring the local restaurant scene in new cities, tennis, kayaking
  • Why St. Cloud? I had a great interview day and felt at home with the residents and faculty here. I was really impressed by the full spectrum training offered here and felt that I could tailor my training to fit my goals. The faculty and staff show passion for their work, both in treating patients and teaching medicine. The faculty members here are really invested in their residents succeeding in every way. It just felt right from the get go. St. Cloud is ideally located, not too far from the Twin Cities, with plenty of places to explore all around St. Cloud, which I plan to take advantage of.
