CentraCare Physician Recruitment Process

Our goal is to reduce the time it takes to hire a physician while ensuring that we bring qualified physicians into the process. Here is an overview of how the process works:

Expressing Interest & Arranging a Visit

  • Once you have expressed interest in an opportunity either by phone call or email, a CV is requested.
  • You can expect a call from one of the recruiters to talk further about the opportunity and have a discussion about your desires in a practice.
  • The CV and additional information will be forwarded on to the lead physician for that practice as well as the clinic administrator.
  • The lead physician and/or administrator will call you to talk further about the opportunity.
  • If there is a mutual agreement of interest, you will be asked to give us some dates to interview in person.
  • The physician recruiter will coordinate this visit with you and the group.
  • Once a mutually agreed upon date is determined, the physician recruiter will e-mail you air travel, car rental, hotel accommodations, and an itinerary of the interview. Maps to the hotel and/or clinic and hospital will be included.
  • We ask that you send us three written letters of reference at this time.
  • The physician recruiter will confirm plans with you a day or two prior to your visit.

During Your Visit

  • You can expect to meet the physicians in the group, administration for the group and an administrative representative of the hospital.
  • You will have a lunch with physicians with whom you will work as well as an evening dinner with the physicians and spouses at a local restaurant in the community or a physician’s home.
  • You can expect a city tour by the physician recruiter with answers to questions about the community, schools, housing and other topics that may interest you and your family.
