Program Objectives:
• Differentiate between two causes of dementia; identifying similarities and differences.
• Distinguish between abstract and concrete thinking and how this affects safety in activity
• Describe how persons scoring in Level 4 (moderate dementia) process information and how the caregiver can use this information to modify their approach and environment to promote independence and safety

Program Objectives:
• Understand the 2011 dementia diagnosis categories
• Clarify the diagnostic criteria for dementia and MCI
• Know the processes of diagnosis in Alzheimer's disease
• Understand the risk factors of Alzheimer's disease
• Summarize the latest research on prevention
