    What I Do
My philosophy of care is that medicine is a team sport. It is a team with the providers and a team with the patients. I see the patients as a part of our team. The patients need to understand how they can take care of themselves the best and they need to take an active part in their plan of care. I work and see patients and their families on their worst days in the emergency room; however, I hope they have learned something new when they walk out of the emergency room. My special clinical interests include rural emergency and hospital medicine, trauma care in rural areas, providing access to healthcare for all individuals, Cardiology, acute care, and ultrasounds.

    Why I Love My Work
I love the variety of my job and the fact that I can really make a difference in people's lives every day. People come in hurt and go home feeling better. Most of the time we can really help people with emergencies and to me that is a wonderful thing to do every day.

    Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I love to hike, gravel and road bike and I Peloton! I do a lot of traveling with my family and I love to spend time on our land with our two dogs. I also have two teenagers that keep my husband and I busy!
