    Biography

    What I Do
In my role as a nurse practitioner within the Newborn/Special Care Nursery at the CentraCare – St. Cloud Hospital Birth Center, I work fervently to provide safe, collaborative and evidence-based quality care that meets the individual needs of my patients. It is a privilege to provide care for patients and their families. I find fulfillment in forging trusting relationships with families and empowering them through open communication and education.

My clinical interests include newborn care and parent/caregiver education.

    Why I Love My Work
I have always felt drawn to caring for others and believe a life of service to others is a life well lived. I love babies and I can’t imagine taking care of another patient population. I also love meeting their families and being able to have a small role in such a life-changing time in their lives. It’s a unique opportunity to not only provide care to newborns, but to be a guide for parents navigating through a new chapter in their lives.

    Getting to Know Me
I was born and raised in Minnesota, and it is a beautiful state with even more wonderful people. I enjoy spending time with my husband and three kids. I also enjoy walking/hiking in the state parks. An interesting fact about me is that I played soccer during college.
