    What I Do
I strive to be open and approachable. I believe in a team-based and patient-centered approach to patient care. Patients who are empowered and supported by their care team will succeed with long-term and sustainable outcomes. I have special clinical interests in full-spectrum family medicine, adolescent medicine, pediatrics, and addiction medicine. Though I am grateful for all my patients, my work in addiction medicine has been life changing. Seeing my patients make positive changes in their lives and being alongside them through their journey is truly rewarding.

    Why I Love My Work
I love all aspects of my job. I love seeing patients find their own strength and empowerment, regardless of their diagnosis, age, barriers, or trauma. I enjoy watching patients grow and evolve over time.

I was motivated to go into medicine by my mother who was a hospital obstetrics and medical/surgical nurse. She was a strong and independent single mother who put ramps to her front door so all people could be part of her community. When she died while I was in high school, it became my mission to live her legacy.

    Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I stay extra busy with my four children and my husband, Dr. Christopher Bell, who is also a family physician at the Baxter clinic. As a family we do a lot of activities together including soccer, basketball, baseball, and figure skating. Personally, I love traveling, running half marathons, reading, writing poetry, and finding new ways to be creative.
