What I Do
My approach to care is patient centered. I strive to support patients and their families by using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches catered to individual needs and strengths. While in graduate school, I had the privilege of training at a Children’s Advocacy Center, where my interest in trauma-focused child psychology began. This led me to an APA-accredited internship at a Childhood Trauma Treatment Program in the Chicago area, specifically treating trauma-related disorders in children and families involved in the foster care system. I value these experiences and the skills I acquired through them. My clinical interests are trauma-related disorders, depression, anxiety, child/adolescent psychology, and family therapy.
Why I love My Work
I enjoy witnessing the progress and connections that individuals and families can make together when they receive the support and care they need. I went into my field because I wanted to bring evidence-based assessments and treatments for various psychological disorders back to my local community and more rural areas.
Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I find joy in spending time in nature, especially alongside my partner and our two beloved dogs. I also enjoy gardening and am currently transforming our yard into a native plant habitat.
