What I Do
I believe in partnering with my patients and walking their treatment journeys with them. I like to approach treatment decisions in collaboration with my patients and practice within a non-judgmental, harm reduction model.
My clinical interests include treating mental health and substance use disorders. I also enjoy working with families to treat adolescents with co-occurring mental health/addiction diagnoses.
Why I Love My Work
Working in addiction and psychiatry allows me to support patients and serve as a therapeutic presence for them. The resilience of patients never ceases to amaze me, and I learn something new from them each day. I find great reward in helping the underserved.
I became a nurse practitioner to take a leading role in advocating for patients and guiding them through the complicated health care system.
Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I enjoy reading and writing and for fun I sometimes collect classic books from antique stores. I also love spending time with my family and two German Shepherds.
