What I Do
In my role, I believe that it is important to be present and to listen with compassion, without judgment. My goal is to help clients develop the tools needed to address interpersonal struggles, increase insight, rebuild relationships and navigate conflict in new, meaningful ways.
I am passionate about maternal mental health, supporting peripartum clients from conception into parenthood and assisting those who experience pregnancy loss. My extensive training in maternal mental health is complemented by my specialization in working with children (currently seeing ages 12+), eating disorders and chemical dependency. I use a mix of self-centered, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy techniques. Additionally, I promote self-care and mindfulness in my practice.
Why I Love My Work
With 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist, I have had the privilege of working in both hospital and outpatient settings, including birth units, NICUs and treatment centers. I am deeply committed to helping clients process their emotions and make meaning of their unique experiences so that they can heal and thrive.
Getting to Know Me
In my spare time, I can be found spending time with family, traveling, running, sailing, gardening, cooking and being outdoors.
