What I Do
I have been serving women and their families as a midwife for more than 30 years. I provide prenatal care to low and moderate risk women in pregnancy. The prenatal period is a special time of learning as the baby grows. I bring a warm, nonjudgmental presence to each visit. I offer prenatal education that meets individual needs and goals in pregnancy. I see pregnancy as a normal life process that needs support, and I hope to empower women as they step into motherhood. I also deliver babies in a gentle, calm, supportive manner.
Why I Love My Work
I enjoy working with women of all cultures. I learn so much from other belief systems and ways of being. I love being “with women” during one of the most precious times of life — pregnancy, labor and birth. I want women to know how amazing they are growing life and have access to the strength that comes with this beautiful and challenging experience.
Getting to Know Me
I enjoy nature. I grow most of our vegetables and flowers from seeds. We moved to Minnesota five years ago and have enjoyed the people, the beautiful landscape (most of the year), and being close to family. I have two grandchildren that fill my cup up with love and joy. I have a wonderful husband, five dachshunds and 12 chickens at home. I am an avid Vikings fan.
