Catherine Palmer, PhD, LP

Child & Adolescent Psychology

I complete psychological evaluations for individuals ranging in age from birth through young adulthood. I evaluate development and functioning in various domains including cognition, attention, executive functioning, memory, academic achievement, adaptation, emotional/behavioral functioning, and personality. I complete assessments through the Autism Spectrum Disorders and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders programs.

I provide psychotherapy primarily to children and adolescents, and sometimes adults, for a range of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma and stressor-related disorders, high-functioning autism spectrum disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, disruptive behaviors, and adjustment related to life changes or stressors. Parents and/or caregivers typically participate in their child or adolescent’s sessions, at times, to share information, collaborate on therapy goals, and receive consultation and support on parenting. My approach is client-centered, considers the family system, and utilizes principles from motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral, acceptance/commitment, and dialectical behavioral therapy frameworks.

I have completed additional training in transgender and gender-diverse medical care.
