What I Do

My philosophy of care is to provide individualized treatment options using evidence-based medicine. My clinical interests include joint replacements, complex trauma, and bone and soft tissue tumors.

Why I Love My Work

I was motivated to pursue a career in medicine because I like helping people. I want my patients to know that I care about them. Through the years, I have had the opportunity to receive extensive training with world renowned surgeons and hospitals. I enjoy using state-of-the-art technology to help improve my patients’ lives.

Dr. Chen offered me the option of a partial knee replacement vs full by showing me the other side of my knee was not needing replacement. He went over my options, concerns and did a great job w surgery, post surgery and mtg to review later. Glad I selected Dr. Chen for my surgery needs.

Dr. Chen really listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions (and I had many!) He also took time to pour over my imaging, labs from CentraCare and St. Cloud Ortho. I felt he did a great job of explaining options and not judging me for what I wanted to do with my body. Excellent bedside manner too!
