What I Do
My philosophy of care is to turn off the computer and listen to the patient. In my opinion, most often many of the good accomplishments in medicine are not in the tests ordered or procedures done, but in the discussion between the patient and the doctor. Only in the discussion can the right questions be asked and the best lessons to be learned by both the patient and the physician. My special clinical interests include obstetrician (OB) and Point of Care Ultrasound.
Why I Love My Work
I enjoy the moment of connecting with a patient when they finally trust our relationship. Regardless of whether I have the answer or not, I know they can finally trust me that I have their best interest at heart. After that moment, the real care can begin.
Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my children and family, reading, cooking, camping, hunting and meditation.
