What I Do
My approach to patient care is rooted in the understanding that individuals are far more than their diagnosis, encompassing a unique set of values, preferences and lived experiences that are as clinically relevant as their presenting condition. I am committed to a model of care that prioritizes active patient engagement, wherein treatment decisions are reached collaboratively through transparent communication and mutual respect. Rather than prescribing a singular course of action, I work alongside my patients to evaluate options, weigh risks and benefits and develop plans that are evidence-based and aligned with their personal goals. My clinical interests include upper extremity trauma; degenerative conditions of the upper extremity; flexor and extensor tendon injuries; upper extremity nerve injuries; and ligamentous injuries of the upper extremity.
Why I Love My Work
I love connecting with patients and making an impact on their lives! My decision to pursue medicine was driven by a deep desire to connect meaningfully with patients, understand the full scope of their conditions, appreciate how illness shapes their experiences and have the privilege of working alongside them in pursuit of better health and wellbeing. Hand surgery, in particular, attracted me through its remarkable complexity and breadth of pathology, uniquely bridging the intellectual demands of a technically challenging specialty with the opportunity to restore what patients rely on most in their daily lives.
Getting to Know Me
I love adventure, whether it involves traveling to a new place, experiencing new food or taking up a new hobby. You can find me outdoors, exercising or attending live events such as sports or concerts.
