What I Do
Care in maternal-fetal medicine requires empathy and a good understanding of patient values and concerns. My goal is to guide patients through complex pregnancy scenarios to help achieve the best outcomes for both parents and their babies. My clinical interests include maternal cardiac disease and malignancies in pregnancy, and fetal and genetic diagnosis.
Why I Love My Work
During medical school in Mexico, I directed women’s health activities in my assigned community and had great success achieving women’s health goals. For this reason, I chose to become an OB/GYN.
I have always enjoyed caring for others and learning the complexity of the human body. I enjoy spending time with my patients to learn about their perspectives and experiences throughout pregnancy. The challenge of a prenatal fetal diagnosis allows me to continuously learn.
I chose CentraCare because it has a great Maternal-Fetal Medicine program. I was impressed by the level of care provided and the well-rounded team. I am excited to be in the beautiful state of Minnesota.
Getting to Know Me
Outside of work I enjoy doing outdoor activities with my wife and dog, hiking, dancing, and trying new foods.
