What I Do
In my role, I educate patients about their condition. I discuss long-term health optimization through non-pharmacological measures. I deeply value autonomy and strive to deliver the best care I can within patient-defined parameters and priorities. Lastly, I often remind patients to be kind to themselves throughout their recovery, and I try to give them something to laugh about.
My clinical interests include inpatient rehabilitation, stroke, spasticity and spinal cord injury.
Why I Love My Work
My initial interest in medicine and health care started with my father being a dentist. I had an interest in neurology but once I found physical medicine and rehabilitation, I felt that I had found my people. I really liked the emphasis on improving quality of life. I enjoy making people feel heard.
Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I like playing chess, exploring history, traveling, hiking, cooking and listening to audiobooks. I hate running but I run more days than not.
