What I Do

I have been a nurse for 26 years and I have been with CentraCare for 16 years. I wanted to do even more for the patients I encounter, so I decided to become a nurse practitioner. My philosophy of care is that good care comes from patients being active participants in their plan of care. My role as a nurse practitioner is to listen to my patients’ concerns with the intent to help them better their health. My special clinical interests include prevention and management of chronic health conditions including asthma, diabetes and high blood pressure. I also promote health and wellness for all ages from birth to death.

Why I Love My Work

I love helping others feel better and helping them understand what is going on in terms they understand. I enjoy the variety of working with patients of different ages and the health needs of each age group.

Getting to Know Me

Outside of work, I love to read, watch crime television shows, go for walks and ride my bicycle. I also enjoy spending time with my family, friends and our dog.
