What I Do
My clinical interest includes behavioral sleep medicine and cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia.
I believe in using my cognitive-behavioral training to treat insomnia at the Sleep Center. Cognitive behavioral treatment for insomnia (CBT-I) is not what most people expect “therapy” or “counseling” to be. Instead, working with a psychologist to treat insomnia is more like working with a personal trainer to make changes in your sleep behavior.
Why I Love My Work
What I enjoy most about my work is the collegial work environment and the opportunity to collaborate and consult with other care team members. A motivation for going into health care would be my fascination with human behavior and my desire to help improve people’s lives and functioning.
Getting to Know Me
Outside of work I love kayaking, traveling and spending time with my family.
