What I Do
As a certified nurse midwife, my approach to care is to trust the natural progression of the pregnancy, labor and postpartum experience. I work to keep women informed and involved, honoring their decisions and intervening only when necessary. Most importantly, my role is to be present and supportive.
Why I Love My Work
The best part of my job is empowering women and guiding them through the incredible journey of pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I consider it a privilege to have a role in that. It's incredibly fulfilling and rewarding to be a certified nurse midwife!
Getting to Know Me
Before I became a midwife, I worked as a registered nurse in obstetrics and loved it. The midwives I worked with inspired me in how they cared for and supported women. I wanted to do the same. Midwife means "with woman." I have enjoyed working “with women” for two decades now.
