What I Do

My philosophy of care involves a collaborative relationship between myself and my patients. I strive to empathize with my patients and understand where they are coming from, to assess what their needs are when it comes to health care. My special clinical interests include acute care, preventative care and health promotion.

Why I Love My Work

My interest in the medical field started when I was just a young kid. I was lucky enough to go on a couple of medical mission trips in high school and college which solidified my desire to pursue a career in the medical field. After being an RN at CentraCare for almost 10 years, I decided to advance my career and become a nurse practitioner. Becoming a nurse practitioner allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the pathophysiology of diseases and how to best treat my patients.

Getting to Know Me

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our kids, extended family and friends. I also enjoy biking, running, going to parks, gardening, canning, attending concerts and live theatre. Central Minnesota is home to me and I look forward to caring for people in this community.
