What I Do
My philosophy of care centers on the belief that forming a strong therapeutic relationship is an essential first step to fostering growth. I am committed to using evidence-based practices to achieve the best possible outcomes. I enjoy working with cognitive behavioral modalities, including cognitive therapy, cognitive processing therapy, behavioral activation and exposure therapy. If you are ready to explore your thoughts, emotions and behaviors in an action-oriented yet authentic way, cognitive behavioral therapy may be your path to long-lasting healing.
My clinical interests include anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, substance use disorders, self-esteem, and individual therapy with adults. I also enjoy facilitating co-occurring psychoeducational groups that utilize cognitive behavioral therapy.
Why I Love My Work
I enjoy witnessing the "lightbulb moments" that clients experience.
The two biggest factors that led me to pursue a career in mental health are the way my parents raised me to help others and my own faith.
Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and family, whether we're camping, doing escape rooms, or watching Bluey on repeat. I also love playing organized hockey, studying theology, going to Mass, and taking care of my lawn. I keep up with the heavy music scene and express my inner nerd (mostly by talking far too much about The Lord of the Rings or playing Magic: The Gathering with friends).
