What I Do
I enjoy meeting all patients where they are in their healing and diligently working as a team to foster optimal recovery in all aspects -- home, work, academic, and/or social. My clinical interests include adult and adolescent traumatic brain injury (TBI), cognitive communication neurorehabilitation, aphasia, dysphagia, and various other neurogenic communication disorders.
Why I Love My Work
While in college, I was a care provider for a family member with an acquired brain injury. This experience motivates me to provide patient-centered care and also recognize the needs of the caregiver. I also see the importance of collaboration with area schools as adolescent patients progress in their medical recovery from a concussion/brain injury in regard to assisting in their gradual return to academic learning.
Getting to Know Me
I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters as well as outdoor activities and gardening.
