What I Do

I provide inclusive primary care services to all people at all stages of life. I spend most of my time providing chronic disease management, mental health care and preventive care from birth to end of life.

My goal is to make everyone feel welcome and to help maximize the health of my patients.

I’ve completed additional training in transgender and gender-diverse medical care.

Why I Love My Work

It is rewarding to know people over the course of years, and to be able to provide care and support when health issues arise.

Getting to Know Me

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, spending time outdoors, theater and crocheting.

    I have recommended Dr. Mechelke to others because she does listen, cares, and makes sure you understand any possible treatments and what each treatment entails. SHE CARES, as I said, and is knowledgeable!

    I am always impressed with the preparation and follow-up Dr Mechelke gives me at the Medicare Wellness check. I filled out forms carefully during pre-check-in and she addressed everything without. E coming in with a list. Listened as I expressed displeasure with Pulmonary response and we had a great discussion about plan moving forward. Not at all dismissive, but made me feel we were working together on my health.
