We will publish reviews after we receive 30 patient survey results to reflect a broad range of experiences and ensure accuracy. We also only include physicians or advanced practice providers from our clinic settings. This excludes emergency, general surgery, urgent care, walk-in, and inpatient providers.

What I Do

My approach to care is built upon the framework that we are all navigating life through a lens of our lived experiences. These experiences shape the way we respond to ourselves and the people and environment around us.

Having a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe and comfortable is a key element in creating meaningful and lasting change. Together, we will explore coping strategies that are currently going well, that are no longer helpful and that will better serve you, your values and your goals going forward.

I use a variety of modalities/tools in my practice to achieve individual goals, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. My approaches are rooted in systems and relational theories and are person-centered and trauma informed.

My clinical interests include depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, grief, LGBTQIA+ concerns, relationship difficulties and life transitions. I also have a special interest in severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI), neurodivergence and personality disorders.

I have received additional training in transgender and gender-diverse medical care.

Why I Love My Work

I had a couple of changes in my career path before leaning into my values and compassion for social issues. In my social work career, I started off in long-term care and saw a need for more mental health support for elders and their families facing life transitions. This motivated me to return to school to pursue my master of social work.

I enjoy working alongside a healthcare team that works hard to create and hold space that fosters positive outcomes for the people and communities we serve. I enjoy witnessing the ah-ha moments that validate the hard work clients put into the process while creating or maintaining a life worth living.

Getting to Know Me

Outside of work, I enjoy being creative, admiring creative expression through art and spending time with family and friends. I recently found the love for leisure reading. My favorite genres have been psychological thrillers, closely followed by historical fiction.
