What I Do
I believe the relationship with a therapist is one of the biggest catalysts for change and I work hard to make sure that everyone who enters my space feels welcomed, comfortable and safe. I look at problems from a holistic and system approach including overall health and wellness. I like to incorporate non-traditional elements into my therapeutic work such as art and sand tray.
My clinical interests include maternal mental health, perinatal mental health, couple therapy, those in the military system, trauma, anxiety and depression.
Why I Love My Work
I have always had an interest in the life stories of others and how people can draw from their strengths to overcome their challenges. I enjoy being able to walk alongside of others on that journey. I believe that “it takes a village” and therapy fits this mindset which made it a natural career choice for me.
My favorite thing about my job is to have sessions that include “aha” moments where you can see a thought process change. Watching people leave a therapy session with a new feeling of hope is very exciting.
I have a passion for working with those in the military. As a military spouse myself, I know the challenges within this culture are often unique.
Getting to Know Me
I like the small-town feel and “Minnesota Nice” mentality that central Minnesota has to offer. Some of my hobbies include crocheting, crafting, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
