What I Do
My philosophy of care is that it is essential to treat every patient and family with the care and understanding they deserve. Each individual comes into a session with a different background and set of experiences, which influences his/her views on goals and progress. I believe it is essential to establish goals that address improving one’s participation and enjoyment of life, no matter what that may be. I truly enjoy working with all stages and ages. My special clinical interests include pediatric feeding, dysphagia, aphasia, traumatic brain injury/cognition, as well as deafness and hard of hearing.
Why I Love My Work
I really love that I have the opportunity to meet various individuals in all stages of life and I never have one day or a patient that is same as the next. I love watching all my patients achieve their goals or gain knowledge and education relevant to their life. Aside from patient interactions, I truly enjoy our rehabilitation team and the way we collaborate to best serve our patients.
Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids, being on the lake, outside, music, gardening and simply staying active.
