What I Do
My philosophy of care is that I think it’s important to really listen to where patients are at in their journey and to find creative options for their treatment whenever possible.
I find the interface of mental health and medically complex patient care fascinating as there is so much overlap and influence between the two. Helping to advocate for those with mental health concerns safely within the context of their medical illnesses is important to the total wellbeing of the patient.
My clinical interests include geriatric psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, inpatient consultive psychiatry, and medically complex patients with co-morbid psychiatric concerns.
Why I Love My Work
I enjoy talking to patients, hearing their stories and being amazed at how strong and resilient they are. I love giving patients and families hope when they may have lost hope themselves. I have a passion for working with underserved and rural communities.
Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, traveling and camping.
