What I Do
As a nurse practitioner at the CentraCare Heart & Vascular Center, I enjoy helping people with heart failure build the skills needed to manage their disease. My entire nursing career has been with CentraCare.
Why I Love My Work
I strive to provide the same comfort and compassion shown to my family when we went through a journey with a serious illness. Years ago, my son, at age 7, was diagnosed with brain cancer. Throughout his treatment, the nurses provided medical expertise, comfort, a listening ear and the silly playfulness my son needed at that time. These nurses inspired me to become a nurse. I received my bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2007 and became a nurse practitioner in 2015. My son is now in his 30s and doing well!
Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, hiking, camping and spending time with my family. One of my goals is to hike in each of the national parks.
