What I Do
In my role, I provide compassionate, patient-centered care that focuses on the whole person, not just his or her diagnosis. Every patient is unique, and I believe it is essential to take the time to understand individual values, goals and concerns.
Why I Love My Work
The relationships I form with patients are the most enjoyable part of my job. Working in oncology lets me truly connect with patients and their families, allowing me to be a consistent source of support during some of life’s most vulnerable moments. I enjoy educating patients about their diagnosis and treatment because empowering them with knowledge is one of the most impactful ways I can make a difference in their care.
I was exposed to the realities of cancer at a young age, and I was immediately drawn to oncology for this reason. This specialty is incredibly complex, and I can make a significant difference in lives by providing both medical expertise and emotional support.
Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors, reading, traveling and spending time with my husband and family.
