What I Do

I went into being a family nurse practitioner because it provided a wide range of areas to practice as well as broad range of knowledge into the life span of an individual. My philosophy of care involves a holistic approach. I believe in taking the whole picture into consideration, including the patient's preference.

Why I Love My Work

My favorite part about my job is the variety of patients I get to see as well as the challenges I am faced with. I am grateful to be working on a team with supportive staff in the CentraCare family.

Getting to Know Me

My love for medicine began when I was hospitalized in 6th grade due to pneumonia. One of the nurses during my stay had such a passion and drive that it motivated me to pursue a degree in medicine to make a positive impact on others as she did on me.

Outside of work, the number one thing I enjoy most is family time. I am married to Nathan Beckman whom some of you may know as he is employed with CentraCare - Paynesville. We have three children that keep us on our toes.
