What I Do

I am a dietitian at CentraCare – Paynesville. I enjoy working in a small community because you get to know the families who live there. It is helpful when caring for patients to know the kind of family support they have within the community. It is pretty neat to work with a mom who is pregnant with gestational diabetes and years later work with that child as an outpatient. Or to possibly see the child’s grandpa in the hospital or grandma in cardiac rehab. While I see all types of patients, my clinical interests are functional nutrition, diabetes and cardiac rehab. I am a certified diabetes care and education specialist.

Why I Love My Work

It brings me happiness when a patient tells me that they have made the changes I recommended to their diet and now have more energy and feel healthier.

Getting to Know Me

Outside of work, I enjoy cross country skiing, exploring mountain bike trails, date nights with my husband, watching our girls in all their activities and spending time at the lake with friends and family.
