What I Do
I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist. I work with children across a wide range of communication needs and abilities—from speech-sound disorders and language delays to stuttering, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and cognitive-communication challenges. I believe that children learn best when they feel safe, seen, loved and supported. My philosophy of care is grounded in kindness, connection and individualized support. I believe every child has a voice, and it’s my privilege to help them find and use it. I strive to build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families, using evidence-based practices delivered with empathy, compassion and patience.
I have a special certification in the Beckman Oral Motor protocol, an intervention that helps activate muscles, build strength and improve range of motion of the lips, jaw, tongue and soft palate. My special interests include autism, articulation, language, pragmatics, stuttering, augmentative and alternative communication, voice and cognition.
Why I Love My Work
I chose this specialty after seeing my brother, who has autism, complete speech therapy as a child. I enjoy getting to know children and their families and watching the children make progress.
Getting to Know Me
I enjoy spending time with my two young children. We love to spend time outside.
