What I Do
I see patients with stroke, cerebral aneurysms and other brain vascular diseases. I am the medical director for the stroke program at CentraCare - St Cloud Hospital. I practice stroke, endovascular treatment of cerebrovascular diseases and neurocritical care.
My special interests include carotid stenosis, stroke, arteriovenous malformations, cerebrovascular dissections and other cerebrovascular diseases.
Why I Love My Work
I have been passionate about neurology since my medical school. I love stroke because it gives me opportunity to try to save the loved ones and families from a devastating medical problem. Unfortunately, we don’t always have a good treatment option. Trying my best to find the path in a difficult situation, and seeing the patient successfully avoiding a bad outcome give me gratification, and keeps me motivated.
Getting to Know Me
I grew up in warm climate in Pakistan, but have developed love for snow in Minnesota. I love cross-country skiing, snowboarding and having fun with my kids in snow. I like computer programming, 3D printing and precision machining.
