We will publish reviews after we receive 30 patient survey results to reflect a broad range of experiences and ensure accuracy. We also only include physicians or advanced practice providers from our clinic settings. This excludes emergency, general surgery, urgent care, walk-in, and inpatient providers.

What I Do

As a physical therapist, I assess functional limitations and aid in a person's activities, exercises, postures and adaptations that a person is using, preventing them from returning to a more functional level. I believe education, exercise, balance and movement patterns are all important in attaining goals as well as helping the person understand what more achievable goals may be. This involves listening to the patients “wants” and educating them about what is most likely to be achieved. A patient's ability to care for themselves is vital so that they can continue to improve or maintain levels achieved in physical therapy.

My clinical interests include orthopedic injury and recovery, SI joint instability, Ehlers-Danlos and joint hypermobility, post-polio syndrome and joint surgery of the ankles, knees, hip and shoulders.

Why I Love My Work

Physical therapy had the components of health care that I felt comfortable doing. I have learned how to interact with a wide variety of personalities and have seen and worked with a wide variety of ages and issues. This field has variability and allows me to change the lives of the people I work with. What I love most about my job is interacting with patients and helping them achieve something that they felt was difficult or impossible.

Getting to Know Me

I started my career at St. Cloud Hospital. I was very shy, but that quickly changed once I started in the field of physical therapy. I grew up on a farm in Southwestern Minnesota, but I have lived in the area since completing my education. I have formed friendships and enjoy being close to my family that lives in the area.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active. I enjoy pickleball, biking, hiking, traveling, reading and learning how to snowshoe!
