What I Do
I have been an alcohol and drug counselor for 27 plus years. I am currently in a position with multifaceted duties. I strive to instill hope through my approach to providing services with empathy, compassion and commitment. I truly care about the success of our clients, and I am dedicated to supporting them every step of the way.
My clinical interest is direct client care. I facilitate a moral reconation therapy (MRT) group, complete evaluations, assist with the admission process, and cover case managers when they are out of the office.
I have special certification moral reconation therapy (MRT) and a national certificate in tobacco treatment practice (NCTTP).
Why I Love My Work
What I find most fulfilling about my job is the privilege of working closely with diverse individuals and witnessing their progress, healing and growth. Every day clean and sober is truly a miracle for those suffering from addictions. I appreciate the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives. I derive immense satisfaction from equipping clients with the tools, support and resources they need to enhance their quality of life. The uplifting atmosphere, camaraderie among my colleagues, and the meaningful connections I forge with clients, their families and fellow staff members further enrich my professional experience.
Getting to Know Me
Outside of work I love to dance to classic rock music, bake and spend quality time with my family and friends.
I was motivated to go into health care by my personal journey with addiction and long-term recovery. I didn’t want my past experiences to be in vain; instead, I sought to turn them into something positive by helping others. My aim is to be a beacon of hope, showing others that recovery is possible, challenges can be overcome, and you can experience true healing within.
