What I Do
As a pain specialist, I keep up with the literature on comprehensive pain management for various conditions. I treat spine pain, neck and low back pain, abdominal pain, pelvic pain, limb pain, nerve pain and cancer pain.
I utilize functional rehab, neutral spine posture and biomechanics, whole food anti-inflammatory diet, various medications, various injections, spinal cord stimulation, mindfulness, chronic pain psychology and group classes.
My goal is to help my patients reach their goals in mobility while healing from their pain. Different treatments work for different folks, so my goal is to find the right type of treatments for you.
Why I Love My Work
I love getting to meet people from all walks of life and learning about their stories, their hobbies and their dreams. Chronic pain takes a lot out of you, and I find great joy in helping people in their path to finding themselves again. There is no greater feeling than helping someone achieve their goals – be it to walk more, play with their grandkids, go back to work or just be more present in their lives and relationships.
Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, podcasts, meeting new people and learning new things. I grew up in Toronto and moved to the US to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor. I did my residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation and my fellowship in pain management.
