What I Do
In my role, I take a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, emphasizing trauma-informed care.
My clinical interests include trauma-informed care for addiction and mental health.
Why I Love My Work
Recovery from addiction is one of the most challenging journeys people can undertake. I find great fulfillment in being part of that transformation — witnessing them bravely connecting the dots between pain, trauma and addiction to make positive changes. I enjoy incorporating humor into therapy, as laughter can be a powerful healing tool.
Getting to Know Me
I began my counseling career in 1997 at the Willmar Regional Treatment Center and joined CentraCare in 2001. I have experience working with adults, adolescents and seniors. Outside of counseling, I am a professional musician and contribute to the music ministry at the churches of St. Paul and St. Peter in St. Cloud, Minnesota. I live in the St. Cloud area with my wife and have two adult stepchildren and three step-grandchildren.
