What I Do
I am a family nurse practitioner with a special interest in acute care. My approach to care focuses on love, based on the Christian golden rule of treating others the way I would want to be treated.
My clinical interests include managing acute illness and injury.
Why I Love My Work
I have always enjoyed helping others and was fascinated by how the body worked. After obtaining my EMT license, I witnessed the care nurses give — it made me want to become a nurse. From there, my interest grew in meeting people where they are at and in helping them in their time of need. I became a nurse practitioner in urgent care as it offers a blend of fast-paced, challenging work with diverse clinical experiences.
What I enjoy most about my job is getting to know a person’s story, thinking fast on my feet, creating a plan to help improve health, and being there during a difficult time in a person’s life.
Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I enjoy creating memories with my wife and four children. I also enjoy running marathons, tending my garden, backpacking in the woods, hunting and fishing.
