Xiaofang Sheng-Tanner, MD

She DID give me a friendly greeting. She appeared annoyed that I was not her patient. Several times she said " I do not know you." I did not feel she gave me adequate time or attention. She also said "you are not a good patient" twice during the visit as I told her it has been awhile since I've had an eye exam. 5 TIMES during the visit she repeated I should get an eye exam. She did not make me feel respected, appeared to be uncaring, and was not friendly. I will not see her again.

Dr. Sheng-Tanner was very dismissive and condescending during this appointment. In the past years, she has been relatively more understanding and inclusive during appointments, but in the past few years, I feel like she has increasingly listened less, and dismissed my concerns and symptoms more that I brought forward. I felt very rushed throughout the appointment. I also felt like I wasn't listened to and taken seriously.

I was seen by my Primary Physician! She is always very Helpful and Attentive!

She has been my doctor for over a decade and she is really a good listener! Sometimes I just don't understand and she will start over and talk to me until I do understand. She has seen me through a lot of different health challenges and it's been very knowledgeable and caring!

Dr.Sheng-Tanner answered all my questions. I always get "abnormal " on some of my blood tests. She reassured me that wasn't bad. They were just out of normal range.

Doctor didn't wait for me to finish talking before talking over me in a hurried manner.

THe doctor provided me with more background on her recommendations, explaining their significance. She provided some of the best explanations I have received during an appointment.

Dr Sheng-Tanner always gives me the information I need and suggestions but ultimately let's me make decisions about my care.

During visit mainly looked at blood test results and upcoming general health needs like time for mammogram, shots etc. Not many questions about my health or wellness the past year. I was asked if I had any questions or concerns. Some of the doctor's responses were very condescending or lacked care in the response. [...]
