Fresh eats!

Fall produceHave you ever tasted a fresh picked strawberry? How about bitten into a juicy ripe tomato fresh from the garden? If you have, you may have noticed the difference between those and the produce you purchase at the grocery store.

I know, we live in Minnesota and unfortunately eight months of the year we live in a barren tundra. OK, yes that is an exaggeration. But half of the year, local fresh fruits and vegetables are not available. This forces us to pay a premium for underwhelming produce that has traveled many, many miles in a shipping container.

To save money and entice your taste buds, check out the in-season fruits and vegetable list at Minnesota Grown.
