Our commitment to a healthy community

Published in Inside CentraCare Author: Ken Holmen, MD

Health care in Melrose is entering a new era on Aug. 29 when CentraCare Health – Melrose Hospital officially opens its doors. After years of planning, fundraising and building, the innovative medical campus has become a reality.

The 53,000-square-foot facility features advanced diagnostic equipment and patient-friendly room designs. Beyond the latest in technology, we have incorporated the healing power of nature into this building with a healing garden and artwork that captures the spirit of Central Minnesota’s landscape.

Of course, we are all thrilled when we see a growth in Central Minnesota. But this hospital isn’t about the building — it’s about the people. It’s the patients, their families, our staff and providers who make this accomplishment meaningful and important. We want the best for the people in our communities.
