Holly Ball supports Hospice, Cancer Funds and Child Advocacy Center

2019 philanthropy-funded cancer program facts:

  • 257 patients were seen for wig-fittings (wigs, scarves and hats are 100 percent philanthropy funded)
  • 290 women were seen for post-surgical garments to have after undergoing a lumpectomy or mastectomy since January 2019
  • 166 patients received acupuncture this past year
  • Chair yoga class and yoga for cancer classes are offered at the Coborn Healing Center. Class sizes range from 4 to 10 to allow for more personalized instruction, focusing on individual physical thresholds as patients go through and finish treatment
  • Palliative Care now is offered at the Coborn Healing Center increasing awareness of services available to patients
  • Art Therapy has grown from one day a week to three days a week in the first year. Individual sessions and group sessions for patients and caregivers are now available

Philanthropy-funded hospice programs include:

  • Massage therapy
  • Music therapy
  • Animal therapy
  • Educational resources on death and dying and grief and bereavement
  • No One Dies Alone volunteers
  • We Honor Veterans to improve the care provided to veterans

Philanthropy-funded Child Advocacy Center program facts:

The Central Minnesota Child Advocacy Center has seen over 860 victims and 980 caregivers from 21 counties in Central Minnesota since opening over three years ago. Survivors and their caregivers receive:

  • Specialized forensic interviews
  • Comprehensive medical examinations
  • Client-centered family advocacy
  • Backpacks with personal care and comfort items
  • Immediate access to trauma-focused mental health care as part of their healing journey
