Melrose Harvest Celebration

While our 2020 event is canceled, the need still exists. Watch for information about an upcoming fun-filled virtual event.

The Melrose Harvest Celebration is a fun event that has raised about $375,000 over the past nine years. Proceeds from the Harvest Celebration benefit the CentraCare – Melrose Greatest Needs Funds or a specific need each year. These funds help provide equipment, materials, services that are not possible in Melrose without our support.

2019 Event Supported Care Center Courtyard Improvements

CentraCare – Melrose Foundation is pleased to announce that through the generous support of area businesses, corporate sponsors and individuals, the 9th annual event on Sept. 28, 2019, raised $25,000 to support improvements to the Pine Haven Outdoor Courtyard. More than 150 people attended the event.

Foundation Development Office Julie Baum would like to thank and acknowledge the strong local support of this event, “Melrose is a great community to live in, community members support the medical campus. It was another successful year of fundraising.”

For Pine Haven residents', especially those in memory care, their surrounding are an important element for stimulating memories. The Pine Haven Courtyard remodel project will help to enhance our residents' outside environment by creating an area where they can sit comfortably and reminisce with family, friends and staff. This includes:

  • New tables and chairs with umbrellas — timeless furniture that will last for generations
  • A fence that resembles the surrounding environment
  • Shade trees for the perimeter
  • Wheelchair-height garden boxes

Experiencing the fresh, outdoor air during daylight hours is a well-documented, positive way for our residents to relieve stress and change behaviors.
