In these beautifully maintained apartment homes, you’ll find many features and amenities to make retirement living a pleasure. Complete with controlled-access entrances and set in a quiet, residential neighborhood. Benet Place offers a variety of services which promote independence, freedom and a strong sense of community.

To meet the growing need for income-based senior housing, Benet Place was built with funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Benet Place consists of two buildings. Each apartment is approximately 545 square feet. Residents of Benet Place must be at least 62 years of age and meet specific income guidelines.

Financial assistance is available through the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Rental Assistance Program.

Floor Plan

The units are approximately 545 square feet and feature one bedroom, a living room, full kitchen and dining area and bathroom. Handicapped-accessible apartments are available and vary slightly in size. The harmonious, tasteful décor lends itself to a variety of styles making it easy to coordinate your furnishings into your new home. The apartments have carpeted living rooms and bedrooms. Blinds are furnished for each window and an air conditioner sleeve is available. In the best interest of those who live here, Benet Place is a smoke-free community.


Both Benet Place buildings were built with funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as a Section 202 housing project for the elderly. Applicants must:

  • Be 62 years of age or older (head of household or co-head)
  • Meet the income limits set each year by HUD (50 percent of the area’s median income)
  • Be mobility-impaired to apply for the units designed for physically handicapped persons.

Financial assistance is available through the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Rental Assistance Program. The amount of rent paid by the residents is 30 percent of their monthly adjusted income. This is determined through the interview and certification process.
