All About Wheatgrass!

Wheatgrass is often prepared as a freshly made, 30ml shot of bright green liquid.

Wheatgrass has twice the amount of Vitamin A as carrots and is higher in Vitamin C than oranges!

Wheatgrass is a complete source of protein.

Wheatgrass is gluten-free.

Wheatgrass contains 98 of 102 earth elements found in soil, including phosphorus, calcium, iron, magnesium and potassium.

Don’t underestimate wheatgrass – it’s very potent. Consuming too much at any given time can render you nauseous and feeling sick.

Blueberry, banana, wheatgrass smoothie recipe (adapted from easyhealthysmoothie.com):

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons Chia seeds (pre-soaked)

1 Cup spinach

1 Cup almond milk

½ Banana

½ Cup blueberries

1 tablespoon wheat grass powder

Prepare:

Place all ingredients in a blender jar and blend until smooth.
