    Biography

    What I Do

My philosophy of care is to meet each patient where they are at and help come to a mutual decision on the best care options. I enjoy discussing how disease processes work and how medications and lifestyle choices can improve care and outcomes.

    My special clinical interests include:

    • Management of Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and its co-morbidities including hypertension, dyslipidemia and ASCVD risk management
    • Management of Gestational Diabetes and Diabetes in Pregnancy
    • Expertise in diabetes education, insulin management, oral therapies, non-insulin injectables, insulin pump therapy and sensor technology
    • Tobacco Cessation counseling with a tobacco treatment specialist certificate

    Why I Love My Work

I love working with my patients and building relationships with them. I believe I am a teacher at heart, and work to help my patients understand diabetes and how to effectively manage the disease.

    Getting to Know Me

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two daughters and grandchildren and singing. I sing with the Great River Chorale, a local community choir, as well as my church choir at Saint Mary’s Cathedral.
