Acupuncture and Acupressure at Coborn Healing Center

If you are looking for a more natural option to relieve pain, reduce stress or improve quality of life, the Integrative Therapy program at Coborn Healing Center can help with acupuncture or acupressure.

Acupuncture uses fine, sterile needles to support your body’s natural ability to rebalance and heal. Acupressure aims to accomplish the same without needles — using gentle pressure to specific points on your body instead.

As part of your cancer care with Coborn Cancer Center, you may be offered an integrative health consultation with one of our qualified practitioners to develop an individualized integrative health plan to promote a holistic healing process.

Integrative Therapies are used to ease common side effects of cancer treatment including:

  • Muscle and joint pain
  • Headaches
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Difficult sleep
  • Dry mouth
  • Anxiety and stress
  • Fatigue
  • Difficulty coping
  • Peripheral neuropathy

How Much Does Acupuncture or Acupressure Cost?

Through the generous support of CentraCare Foundation, cancer patients of Coborn Cancer Center receive a number of free sessions. A self-pay option is available for $40/session if you wish to continue after the free sessions.

Please contact Coborn Cancer Center to request an integrative health consultation at 320-229-5100.

Shared Acupuncture

Shared appointments allow you to experience the proven benefits of acupuncture at a reduced cost. The treatment focus will be on promoting physical, mental and emotional wellness rather than individual medical concerns. Fine needles may be inserted into various points on the outer ear, scalp, lower legs or hands for approximately 25-30 minutes to create a therapeutic effect. You will be seated in a recliner and remain fully clothed. You are welcome to wear an eye mask for relaxation.

Shared acupuncture is available to all cancer patients of Coborn Cancer Center, regardless of the stage of treatment. The reduced cost of $20 per treatment is available due to generous donations from community members to CentraCare Foundation. To schedule, call 320-229-5100.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

CentraCare care givers have been working around the clock for more than 20 months to care for you, your families and friends during COVID. We are committed to caring for every Minnesotan who needs us, and nothing will prevent us from doing so – even during these never-seen-before times.

The challenge of providing this level of care is that our hospital beds are often full. ERs in all of our hospitals are packed. And our clinical teams are exhausted. Early in the pandemic, our community stepped up in amazing ways to help us. We ask that you again join us in fighting this pandemic together.

How can you help?

  • Please get your COVID vaccines and booster shots. They are proven safe and effective in reducing COVID illness, keeping people out of the hospital, and preventing death.
  • If your situation is not an emergency, please use other care options, including:
  • If this is a medical emergency, call 9-1-1, or visit the ER.

Together, we can do this. Thank you for your support.
