Accredited Community Cancer Program

Coborn Cancer Center holds accreditation as a comprehensive community cancer program by the Commission on Cancer. That means you benefit from:

  • Complete, patient-centered care through a team approach
  • Access to information on clinical trials and new treatment options
  • Ongoing monitoring of care and lifelong follow-up services
  • Psychosocial support and survivorship care

The accreditation also means more than 500 new patients choose us for treatment each year.

Comfort During Chemotherapy

Before you start chemo, your nurse may use a vein finder tool to make intravenous (IV) access quicker and easier for you. During treatment, you can relax in adjustable recliners that offer heat, massage and USB chargers. Private rooms, double rooms and beds are available. If you feel chilly or nauseous, ask your nurse for a warm blanket or hard candy. We’ll help make sure you’re as comfortable as possible.

Need a ride to the Coborn Cancer Center? Call 320-229-5199, ext. 75044. We offer transportation support thanks to a grant from the American Cancer Society and the generous support of our community through gifts to CentraCare Foundation.
