Massage Therapy for Cancer Patients

For relief from tight, aching muscles, take advantage of therapeutic massage in St. Cloud, Willmar and Monticello. Available for people receiving cancer care from CentraCare, this therapy can ease pain, headaches, stress, insomnia and other side effects of treatment.

Types of Massages

Choose one of the massages below, or ask your therapist to make a recommendation. No matter what approach you request, we’ll tailor care to your needs and goals. Look forward to relaxing in a clean, professional, respectful environment.

Swedish Massage

Popular for stress reduction, the long flowing strokes, kneading and friction of a Swedish massage increase circulation and ease muscle pain.

Deep Tissue & Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger points are muscle knots that cause pain in other areas of the body. Your therapist applies pressure to trigger points in the deep layers of muscle to decrease pain, reduce stress and increase range of motion.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release breaks up scar tissue and eases chronic pain, headaches and neck tightness. Your therapist uses gentle pressure to loosen restrictions in the connective tissue.

Esalen Massage

Esalen massage looks at the body as a whole rather than as separate parts. Through various techniques, you’ll learn how to notice and release tension in your body.

Aromatherapy

For even more relaxation, ask about aromatherapy before your massage. Your therapist can enhance your experience with the calming scents of lavender, spearmint, sweet orange and ginger.
