CentraCare Heart & Vascular Center can help you lower your risk of heart disease or recover from a heart event. With our full line of prevention services, you can achieve your best health.

Cardiac Calcium Scoring

This simple imaging test measures the amount of calcified plaque in your arteries.

Cardiac Rehab Certification LogoCardiac Rehab Program

Cardiac Rehabilitation provides exercise, education and support after a heart attack or other heart event. This program is accredited by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

Cardiac Wellness Program

This program helps men reduce their risk for heart disease. Take the first step in improving your heart health.

Community Education

We offer the community a variety of heart-related classes and events. Our experts also can speak at health fairs, businesses, schools and other organizations.

Medical Fitness Program

This program is specially designed for people with health problems to successfully start and maintain a healthy exercise program.

  • Exercise in a medically supervised setting
  • Blood pressure checks before and after exercise
  • Educational information to help you achieve your healthy lifestyle goals

Exercise takes place in a big, bright, new gym, which includes consultation rooms for individual coaching sessions, education room with large screen television for instructional videos, relaxation room for mindfulness and stress management sessions and new resistance training equipment to meet individual needs.

To get started using the gym, please complete the MFP Health Assessment (PDF). A doctor’s note (PDF) may be required if you answered yes to any questions on the assessment.

Mended Hearts

Mended Hearts supports heart patients and their families through hospital visits, support group meetings and education. Its mission is to help people understand that there can be a rich, rewarding life with heart disease. Mended Hearts is a national, non-profit organization affiliated with the American Heart Association. The St. Cloud area chapter is supported locally by the CentraCare Heart & Vascular Center.

Metabolic (Calorimetry) Testing

This test shows how many calories you burn at rest. The results further specify your nutrition and exercise needs.

Nicotine Dependence Program

The Nicotine Dependence Program gives you the tools to quit tobacco in five weekly individual or group sessions. The sessions focus on support, medicine for quitting, relapse prevention and a self-help plan. Learn more

Nutrition Counseling

Registered, licensed dietitians can guide you in nutrition-related lifestyle choices. These choices can help you manage weight, cholesterol, blood pressure and heart failure. Together we can design a meal plan personalized for you.

Women @ Heart Project

This program helps women reduce their risk for heart disease. Take steps to improve your heart health.

CentraCare Heart & Vascular Center is committed to the prevention and treatment of heart disease. Some of these services need a doctor’s order. Check with your health plan about coverage for our services. All policies are different.

  • High Risk (Score 1-3) - Strongly consider taking steps to improve your lifestyle choices. We encourage you to make an appointment with your provider.
  • Medium Risk (Score 4-7) - You're making some good choices. Find ways to make more. We can help! Experts in our cardiac wellness program can work with you one-to-one to help you lower your risk of heart disease. Learn more
